All ages are invited to participate in lifelong learning as we grow as shepherds of the cross.  Intergenerational events are scheduled throughout the year, along with these regularly scheduled opportunities:

Sunday School: Sunday’s during the school year at 10:15 a.m.

Vacation Bible School: Typically held in July or August for children age 3 and up


For Youth

FINK: Wednesday’s during the school year at 6:00 p.m. (with youth from Grace Lutheran as well!)

  • 1st Wed: At Grace Lutheran - Theme Night
  • 2nd Wed: In the community - Service Night
  • 3rd Wed: At Shepherd of the Cross - Theme Night
  • 4th Wed: All-church, all-ages FINK Night at Shepherd of the Cross
  • 5th Wed: Social Night 

MY (Muscatine Youth) Group: Sunday’s during the school year at 5:00 p.m.

National Youth Gathering: June 27-July 1, 2018 in Houston


For Adults

Adult Education: Sunday’s at 10:30 a.m.

This group studies various subjects, as led by Pastor Aleese. Recent topics have included:

  • What Does It Mean to Be a Christian in a Pluralistic World?
  • Conversation with Representatives of the Muslim Community of the Quad Cities
  • Advent Series: Hungering for the Gifts of Christ – a Bible Study focusing on Isaiah
  • An Overview of the Gospel of Matthew
  • Luther and the Reformation  

Women’s Group: Second Saturday of every month at 8:30 a.m.

This lay-led group selects a book of the Bible and gathers for study and breakfast.


Bible at the Brew: First Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. (meet at Missippi Brew)

This lay-led group studies the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel text using the resource “Daily Discipleship Matters.”
