Worship: Out of Hiding

John 3: 1-21| In a year when many have spent more time at home, we all might feel as though we’ve been “hiding” a bit more lately. But on a deeper level, we all have a tendency to “hide” ourselves – from one another, and from God. In our Gospel reading this week, Nicodemus – a Jewish leader – has some questions for Jesus. But not wanting to be seen – remaining in hiding – he comes at night. But as he continues his conversation with Jesus, Jesus offers him the invitation to come out of the darkness and into the light. It is that same invitation that we are offered today, as Jesus Christ calls us to us again and again with love. Why? Because above all, God desires to be connected to you, and God desires for you to live fully. Join us for worship as we hear God’s call of love given to us, and as we receive his sacrament once again.
