Mark 6: 14-29 | Often, when traveling through an airport, the advice is given: “if you see something suspicious, report it to the authorities.” In short, the catchphrase has become: “See something? Say Something”. This is tried and true wisdom in any situation of our lives. But what about when we witness something around us that seems to go against God’s vision of his kingdom in the world? Do we have the courage to say, or do, something?
To do so might take some courage. And, we might think that we aren’t in a position to really say or do anything. But as people who have been chosen by Christ and called to God’s banquet, our call is to speak up so that all people might live in the promises of God’s kingdom. Join us for worship as we are gathered at Christ’s table of mercy, and are sent to uplift the truth of God’s kingdom in the world around us.
