Luke 13:10-17 | Often when we consider “keeping the sabbath holy” we might remember the command to refrain from work on the sabbath. However, in the Gospel of Luke, Jesus is notorious for healing on the sabbath. In the eyes of leaders of the day, Jesus was disobeying the law. But in Jesus eyes, he was doing exactly what was to be done on the sabbath: offering a new beginning, restoration, and freedom from bondage.
