John 18:33-37; Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14; Revelation 1:4b-8 | Each year, before the church turns to a new year – celebrating Advent and the coming of Christ – the church observes Christ the King Sunday. Throughout Scripture, we hear numerous images of Christ as Lord of all, bringing God’s Kingdom to earth. Today, language of royalty may not resonate as deeply in our cultural context. But still, we confess Jesus as Lord over all things. So then, in 2024, what does it mean for Jesus to be Lord of our lives and of our world? And, what difference does it make in how we live as followers of Christ? Before turning to the coming Christmas celebration, join us this weekend for worship, as we turn to Christ as the only one who merits our glory and praise, and as we are sent forth as ambassadors of God’s reign on earth.
