Christian Day Camp is a community in Christ, bound together by the Holy Spirit across denominational lines. Working with partners in Muscatine County, Christian Day Camp serves to connect children and youth to God, nature and one another.

Join us for another summer of growing in relationship with God, with one another, with our community partners, and with nature!
This summer we are excited to offer expanded options for elementary (completed grades K – 5th grade), middle school (completed 6th – 8th grade), and preschool (ages 3, 4, 5 years-old).

Elementary Christian Day Camp
June 11 – 14, 2024
For kids who have completed Kindergarten – 5th Grade
Hosted @ Saulsbury Recreation Area
9:00 am – 4:00 pm daily
Optional overnight June 14 – 15
Our kids are strong and mighty…just like the mighty oaks of Saulsbury! Throughout the week, campers will learn how even though they may be small, God has created them for big, big things! Campers will participate in fishing, canoeing, nature hikes, group games, and have the chance to interact with live animals with a petting zoo and horses.
Camp runs 9:00 am – 4:00 pm daily with an optional overnight from Friday, June 14 – Saturday, June 15. Pickup for overnight campers will be 10:00 am on Saturday.
Campers will bike between stations. Campers not comfortable on a bike will be transported in other ways. Helmets will be mandatory for campers and volunteers. If you don’t have a bike or helmet, indicate this on your registration form and we will connect you with local resources!

Note for online payments: If you have multiple children registering for Elementary Christian Day Camp, update the payment total appropriately. Default is set to 1 child at $10. We request that you cover fees for the online transaction so that our camp donations remain going toward a positive camp experience for all our kids. (Fees: 1% + $0.30 fee for bank drafts; 3% + $0.30 fee for credit card payments.)
Middle School Christian Day Camp
June 25-27, 2024
For youth who have completed 6th – 8th Grade
Hosted @ Saulsbury Recreation Area
9:00 am – 4:00 pm daily
Optional overnight June 26 – 27
Each of us have God’s light shining within us. In our time together, youth will learn about that light implanted within them, and will experience what it means to let thier lights shine!
Camp runs 9:00 am – 4:00 pm daily with an optional overnight from Wednesday, June 26 – Thursday, June 27. Youth will stay overnight in the lodge. Both overnight and non-overnight campers will have a full day of camp on Thursday, June 27 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Preschool Mini Christian Day Camp
June 17, July 1, July 15
For children ages 3, 4, 5
Hosted @ Discovery Park
5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Have a child ages 3-5 who’d like to dabble in what Christian Day Camp is all about but a full day seems too long? We’ve got you!
Modeled after the Muscatine County Conservation Board’s Nature Camps, kids are invited to join us for one, two, or all three sessions. Kids willl explore animals, fish, go on nature hikes, learn Bible stories and songs, and will have a glow stick party! Note: A parent/trusted adult is required to attend with every child.
A meal will be served each night. The nightly schedule, along with a supper menu, will be coming soon!

Volunteer with our kids and our team
We have amazing leaders and community partners lined up to lead sessions and activities with our kids. But, we need help in the following areas:

Note: All volunteers will need to show proof of a background check from the past three years or will need to have a background check completed. Shepherd of the Cross Lutheran Church is willing to assist in running background checks as needed. Christian Day Camp could cover the cost of background checks, but we are asking volunteers to cover the cost ($16) so that donations can continue to fund an incredible camp experience for our kids.
