Luke 5:1-11|As the old adage goes, “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” And yet, after a night of fishing and catching nothing, this is exactly what Jesus calls Simon and his comrades to do. Obeying Jesus’ command, they throw their nets in the water (yet again) and are surprised to pull in a catch of fish so large that it breaks their nets. So, today, might we be called to toss our nets into the water (yet again) even when it seems as though nothing is going to change? And, might there be an abundance that we miss out on if we don’t? Join us for worship as we hear Christ’s promise of abundance and fulfillment and as we are sent as Jesus’ disciples.
